CASE STUDY
Socio-Emotional Learning Platform
A startup organization focused on socio-emotional learning. Their mission is to eliminate and alleviate barriers that prevent people from maximizing their potential.
Problem
This startup has a large social media following, viral affirmation content, and a children’s book. The company struggles with launching a scalable B2C model and wanted to pivot their business model to be B2B, pivoting its customer base to school districts for elementary education. According to a survey conducted by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), 34% of school districts in the United States include social-emotional learning (SEL) in their curriculum, which may include the use of positive affirmations. The same survey found that 93% of teachers believe that social-emotional learning is important for their students' success in school and beyond.
Solution
AtkCo used design thinking with feedback from customers to iterate on product ideas. We launched a learning platform as a scalable product solution to serve school districts globally. This allowed for the company to convert their global community to subscribers, increase accessibility, develop personalization, and have clear analytics showing impact.
